How to take NEBOSH - International General Certificate (IGC) OBE exam?
The National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is one of the globally recognized examination board based in UK offering qualification and courses in health, safety and environment.
To obtain NEBOSH IGC qualification one should have pass the open book exam. The NEBOSH open book exam consists of two elements IG1 - MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH AND SAFETY and IG2 - RISK PROFILING followed by closing interview after the exam.
How to approach NEBOSH Learning Partner?
1. Before you opt for your exam, ensure to inquire NEBOSH learning partner and visit your nearest center.
2. After that ask them about open book exam instructions or manual and necessary information like NEBOSH IGC exam dates, exam syllabus, duration of the course.
3. If you're an employee/ working make sure to schedule at evening batch through online/offline. If you are an student who starts your journey into Safety Career you can go ahead and attend the classroom training.
4. Once after your queries pay the course fee and get ready for the training schedule which your training partner will deliver through email/ message/ call.
5. If you are interested to start your pre-parathion ensure to read the syllabus criteria and have a basic idea on your topics before the trainer commence the class.
6. If you are interested to see the sample certificate ask your training partner to show NEBOSH IGC certificate sample.
Guidance
As you know that the exam is completely based on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) topics. Open Book Exam or simple OBE is an offline exam where you can take your exam in any place at your home/ office/ work location wherever you feel the comfort.
Once after your training there will be 2-3 days for your exam preparation and ensure to utilize as much as you can so that you can clear your exam in your first attempt.
Don't be panic and be relax when you are taking your exam, as NEBOSH exam pass rate is not more than 50% so kindly do your research and be prepared before you take the exam.
Open Book Exam Rules and Regulations
1. NEBOSH has clear cut policies and procedure regarding the open book exam. All candidates should comply with board rules and regulations.
2. Before the exam you will receive the candidate registration number that will be your personal enrollment number for NEBOSH IGC open book exam.
3. Cross check your name as per your passport and inform the learning partner if you found any mistake in your demographic details.
4. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and no copyrighted content is allowed in your exam.
5. You can refer any study material and can answer the questions in the answer template.
NOTE: In the answer template, you will need to include the same information on your submission, including the following:
your unit code (eg IG1)
the examination date
your name
your NEBOSH learner number
your Learning Partner’s name
page numbers for all pages;
question numbers next to each of your responses.
Once after you exam completion save your completed answer document with your surname, your first name, your NEBOSH learner number, and your Learning Partner’s name.
For example, a learner called Eric Jackson with the learner number 987654321, who has taken their course with a Learning Partner called XYZ Institute will name their submission:
Eric Jackson, 987654321, XYZ Institute
How to upload NEBOSH IGC answer template
Step 1: Once after your exam completion, login to your NEBOSH exam portal which was provided you earlier by your learning partner.
Step 2: Save your file with your name followed by your NEBOSH learner number.
Step 3: Click on upload and choose your file from your saved location on your computer and upload your answer template and finally submit.
Step 4: Once you submit you will receive an confirmation email regarding your successful upload.
Step 5: If you want to check you file was uploaded successfully or not, just click on the file which you uploaded and it will download that show your file has been uploaded successfully.
Step 6: Logout from your computer.
That's all this is how you can upload your answer template without any interruption. Before you do all the above steps make sure that your internet connection signal is strong.
You will receive your result within 50 business days after your NEBOSH open book exam.
